Understanding the nature of self.

A remarkable feat of the brain is its capacity to integrate the activity of billions of nervous cells into a unified self.

But this astonishing competence is vulnerable, and we remain clueless when confronted with the afflictions of the brain and the mind, of the dys-connected self.

Crunching neurodata.

Our lab started as a methods lab. That’s OK. We’re still pretty nerdy, but we believe sophisticated methodology should not drive the show, and rather be inspired by hard scientific questions .

Sharing resources.

We’ve been sharing our methods and data over the past two decades. We try our best to be pragmatists of open science.

The mechanistic nature of brain functions and complex behavior is essentially unknown.

We wish to advance its comprehension.
